Performance of GPS, GLONASS and Galileo
After a short introduction, an overview about the Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) GPS, GLONASS and Galileo is given. For each system, a status report is presented and then the three main positioning algorithms: Single Point Positioning, Differential Pseudorange and Carrier Phase Positioning are described. In the Summary, the systems are compared and and outlook is given.
متن کاملWide Area Real Time Kinematics with Galileo and GPS Signals
The main factor limiting the range extension of the Real Time Kinematics technique beyond few tens of kilometers is the differential ionospheric correction between the roving and the nearest reference GNSS station. Such ionospheric correction impedes the real-time ambiguity fixing, and the corresponding accurate navigation at the sub-decimeter level. In this paper, the authors present the recen...
متن کاملAdvanced RAIM Architecture Design and User Algorithm Performance in a real GPS, GLONASS and Galileo scenario
In the past years the scientific community is investigating with increasing interest innovative techniques to provide vertical guidance to aviation users up to precision approach and even autonomous guidance on ground. Next to SBAS and GBAS systems other novel architectures have been under investigated. In particular the ARAIM concept is based on the fact that the future of multiconstellation a...
متن کاملThe Impact of Estimating High-Resolution Tropospheric Gradients on Multi-GNSS Precise Positioning
Benefits from the modernized US Global Positioning System (GPS), the revitalized Russian GLObal NAvigation Satellite System (GLONASS), and the newly-developed Chinese BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (BDS) and European Galileo, multi-constellation Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) has emerged as a powerful tool not only in positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT), but also in remote ...
متن کاملPrecise positioning with current multi-constellation Global Navigation Satellite Systems: GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou
The world of satellite navigation is undergoing dramatic changes with the rapid development of multi-constellation Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSSs). At the moment more than 70 satellites are already in view, and about 120 satellites will be available once all four systems (BeiDou + Galileo + GLONASS + GPS) are fully deployed in the next few years. This will bring great opportunities ...
